In 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morrison of Denison, TX established a scholarship fund, which provides scholarship awards for qualified graduates of a Grayson County high school, or for students who have graduated from Grayson College, who wish to continue their education at a four-year college or university. Available funds are determined by annual earnings on the endowment.
Applicants must have resided in Grayson County for a minimum of three years prior to application, must hold a minimum 2.80 GPA, and must plan to enroll as a full-time student at their transfer school. Contact the GC Foundation Office for more information – 903-463-8716.
T-Stem Scholarships at Grayson College were made possible from a grant provided to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) from the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation. These prestigious awards are provided to assist Grayson College full-time students, of any age, who are self-declared majors in a T-STEM instructional program, and who made a 3.0+ GPA on a 4.0 scale in their high school Math and Science courses (or the equivalent on the GED test).
Recipients must complete at least 80% of all semester credit hours to retain his/her T-STEM Scholarship for the following semester. All applicants unless exempt, must have a statement on file that he or she is registered with the Selective Service System. Part-time employment is limited to 15 hours per week in a STEM related field.
The maximum award is $2,500. Priority consideration is given to students who submit their application by July 15. For consideration of a T-STEM Scholarship, the following documentation must be provided to the Grayson College Office of Financial Aid:
