ASE Exams

ASE – Automotive Service Excellence Exams

To help automotive professionals get the recognition they’ve earned for their expertise, ASE has offered its certification exams since 1972.  ASE Certification tests are written in workshops by a national panel of seasoned automotive industry professionals and executives, including working technicians, automobile manufacturers, aftermarket manufacturers, and educators.  As of 2012, ASE certification tests are administered by computer at approved testing centers.

STEP ONE:

Register and pay for your tests at www.ase.com.  Keep a record of your ASE Eligibility Number.  You may want to print your registration paperwork.  Official ASE practice tests and study guides are also available at www.ase.com.

STEP TWO:

Call the Grayson College Testing Center (903-463-8724) to schedule an appointment.  You will need your ASE Eligibility Number when making your appointment.

STEP THREE:

Arrive at the Testing Center promptly.  Have photo identification ready.  Bring registration paperwork if you printed it.

STEP FOUR:

Take your tests.  In most cases, Testing Center staff are able to print the results immediately after you finish testing.  Occasionally, the national ASE server is so busy that scores cannot be printed immediately.
