Program Description

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Because Psychology relates to humans, its concepts, skills and values can be applied to almost every endeavor of life.  

Grayson College offers a customized Psychology pathway within the Associate of Science in General Studies degree, designed for students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at to a four-year institution.

All Psychology courses are offered face-to-face and online. The introductory course covers the essentials as proposed by the American Psychological Association (APA) such as Biology and Psychology, historical roots, critical thinking and research, learning, motivation, consciousness, psychological disorders, personality, emotion, and stress. The Lifespan class explores physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development from conception through death. Grayson College also offers these exciting courses: Human Sexuality, Adjustment, and Social Psychology.
