Graduates gather after the commencement ceremony

Spring 2022 Commencement Ceremony

Location: Cruce Stark Auditorium

There are two commencement ceremonies divided by pathway.  You should only attend the ceremony for your pathway.

Arts & Humanities and Business & Entrepreneurship Pathways
  • 10:00 am Ceremony 
  • *9:00 am Line up for graduates in the Center for Workplace Learning's Auditorium
Health Sciences, Industrial Technologies, Public Services and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Pathways
  • 1:00 pm Ceremony

Tickets:  Each graduate attending the Grayson College commencement ceremony (Nursing Pinning is a separate event) is allotted 8 guest tickets for their specific cermony.  All guests must have a ticket to enter, including small children and infants.  Tickets will be distributed at cap and gown pick up and require a photo ID.   

All ceremonies/pinnings will be streamed on the Grayson College Youtube account. Subscribe and set a notification to get reminders for when streaming starts.

Graduation Requirements

Spring 2022 graduates should see their Success Coach for information on applying for graduation.  The applicaiton deadline for Spring 2022 graduates is March 25, 2022.

Students may apply for graduation using any certificate or degree plan in the catalog for the year they first enrolled at Grayson College or any subsequent catalog provided:

  • It is dated no more than five years prior to the graduation date.
  • The major has not changed.
  • The student did not stop-out for more than 1 year.

To graduate from Grayson College with an Associate degree, students must:

  1. Meet with a Success Coach or Faculty Advisor to complete a Degree Audit. This will determine if the student has met all the requirements for graduation.  The student will then apply for graduation and include the Success Coach or Faculty Advisor’s name on the application.  It is the responsibility of the student to know the application deadline as published in the schedule of classes.
  2. Complete the 60 credit hours as required for the respective Associate degree.
  3. Have an overall Grayson College grade-point average of 2.00.
  4. Have earned at least 25% of the total required degree plan hours at Grayson College.
  5. Successfully demonstrate college readiness in Reading, Writing and Math.
  6. If a course substitution is needed, meet with a Faculty Advisor or Success Coach to complete the required paperwork.

About 2 months before the ceremony, you will be contacted at the email address you put on the application to get all the details lined out.

Health Science Students, in addition to the above degree requirements, must complete a grade of “C” or better in each major course on their degree plan.

To graduate with honors, a Student must meet the following requirements:

Have an overall grade-point average of 3.7 or better based on Grayson College hours only.

To graduate Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.70 – 3.84

To graduate Magna Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.85 – 3.99

To graduate Summa Cum Laude, have a GPA of 4.00 


To graduate from Grayson College with a Certificate, students must:

To graduate with honors for a Certificate of Completion, a Student must make a grade of “A” for all courses in the certificate program.
