Policies

Refund and Transfer Policy

  • The CWL will only issue full refunds if you withdraw from a class 7 days prior to the class starting. 
    • Withdrawals done within one week of the start of class will be at a reduced rate of up to 50% depending on the enrollment minimums in the course being met and refunds are at the discretion of the Executive Director of CWL.
  • Failure to comply with any program admission requirement does not entitle you to a refund. (Example: a failed drug/ background test)
  • There are no refunds given after a course has begun.
  • There are no refunds for online Ed2Go or CE Shop classes.
  • Requests for a refund and/or withdrawal from a course must be made via writing and can take up to 2 weeks to process. Submit a refund request.
  • Requests to transfer your registration from one course meeting date to a future meeting date can be made via the Request for Course Withdrawal, Transfer and/or Refund form. Please note that this request must be made at  least a week prior to the original date you registered for, and the new course must fall within the same term. Course transfers are at the discretion of the CWL, and you may not transfer between unlike courses. If we do not have another upcoming like  course for you to transfer to. You will need to be refunded. 
  • If a class is canceled you will be sent an email with the form to request a refund or have your tuition balance applied to another course in the immediate future. 
  • Note: We do not store credit card information, therefore if you purchased your class with a credit card you will need to complete a form to give us the card number to charge back to, you will get this via email from CWL@grayson.edu in the event your class was canceled. If you paid with cash or check, you will still need to fill out this form and it will take up to 2 weeks from receipt of your form to process the refund, and have your check mailed to the address you registered with.    

Cancellation Policy

Courses with low enrollment prior to the start date may be canceled prior to the start date. Students will be notified by their email if a class they are enrolled in has been canceled; However, we are sometimes unable to reach everyone. If a class is canceled a refund is automatically processed but can take up to 2 weeks to be processed depending on your method of payment. If you paid with a credit card you will need to contact us with the number to do a charge back as we do not store credit card numbers. 

Certificate Reprints and Record Requests

You can request a reprint of your continuing education certificate through a Records Request. The Center for Workplace Learning is required to keep records for up to two years; certificate reprints are available if digital records are on file. Unofficial transcripts are also available via MyViking, detailing a record of courses and hours completed. If you require an official transcript, follow the transcript request instructions from the Registrar's Office.

Room Changes and Rescheduling

  • Students should consult their student planner (Coming soon!)   to see any room changes that may occur. 
  • Currently all room assigns are on a marquee in the CWL lobby.
  • If a class is rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances the instructor or staff will email the student.

Parking Policy

  • All students must have a valid GC parking sticker, please click on the link to Register for a parking permit. 
  • Some one-day training do not require a parking permit, but you may be emailed one to print out and place in your windshield. 

You will need the following information:

  • Your student ID number (employees may use four 9’s)

  • The make (Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler), the model (Avenger, Mustang, Silverado), color, and year of the vehicle(s)

  • Your contact information

Once you complete the registration process you will need to visit the College Police Office located on the Main Campus or at the South Campus (Bookstore/Security) Office and pick up your permit (between 8am - 4pm).
