Supporting College Programs

How your gift can help

The GC Foundation has a few priority projects for you to consider:

Grayson College student scholarships are an important part of many students’ education. Through the generosity of individuals like area residents, GC alumni, GC faculty/staff, and organizations, businesses and charitable foundations, as well as various Foundation fundraising events, scholarships are awarded to help student’s achieve their educational goals. All contributions made to the Grayson College Foundation are tax-deductible to extent possible by current IRS rules.

Foundation scholarships are available to qualified students who meet the admission and financial aid requirements of the College. The GC Foundation Scholarship Committee meets shortly after the priority consideration deadline (March 15) each spring to review scholarship applications that have been properly completed and submitted through the GC Office of Financial Aid. Foundation scholarships are valued from $250 to $2,000 per year.

Basic eligibility criteria set by the GC Foundation Scholarship Committee are a minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum part-time enrollment with full-time enrollment preferred. Annual award amounts are determined based on these criteria. A scholarship donor may make changes to these criteria, or establish limited additional awarding criteria, such as financial need, extenuating circumstances, academic standing, intended major of study, geographic location of residence or high school attended, etc.

If you know a student who would benefit from a scholarship, encourage them to apply today!
