Nursing Entrance Exam (NEX)
About
Grayson College's health sciences programs will be transitioning away from the HESI A2 entrance exam to The Nursing Entrance Exam (NEX) starting October 1, 2024. We will still offer the HESI A2 exam until December 13th, and past scores will still be used for the next cohort of nursing applicants; however, starting on January 2, 2025, we will only offer the new NEX exam, which can be used for the next cohort and will then be required for all future cohorts of nursing applicants. Anyone interested in taking the NEX exam at Grayson College will need to review the "NLN Student Guide for NEX" link below (see Resources). It will provide you with important information on how to visit the NLN website, create an account, select Grayson College, and make your appointment. You will make your appointment and payment directly on that site, and the Testing Center will be alerted which date and time you have selected. (The Testing Center cannot complete your registration for you.) Also, for an added fee, NLN provides an online/remote proctoring services that will allow you to complete your exam at home. You might explore that option as well.
