Grayson Homecoming Theme and Activities Announced
Grayson College is excited to announce this year’s Homecoming theme, “We’re Bad Axe.”
- Pick up your FREE homecoming t-shirt on the 2nd floor of the Life Center on Monday, November 8th from 10am-3pm.
- On Tuesday, November 9th, you can make a new little furry friend. Stuff-a-Critter will be in the Life Center from 10am-3pm.
- Like a challenge? Throw an axe in Viking Alley from 11am-2pm on Wednesday, November 10th.
- Follow up axe-throwing by attending the Viking Rally in Viking Alley starting at 12:30pm.
- On Thursday, November 11th, make a Viking puzzle on the 2nd floor of the Life Center from 10am-3pm.
- The 2021 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Denison on November 12th at 6:30 pm. The four inductees are: Danny Darwin, Dr. Kim Williams, Dr. Sid Simpson, and Sherman Perry. Read more about the inductees on the Grayson College athletics page. Tickets are $35 each, and can be purchased with this link.
- The 2020-21 Grayson Softball Team and NJCAA D1 Softball World Series National Finalist will be honored at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony as well, and will be receiving their conference championship rings.
- Grayson Softball and Baseball will be holding their alumni games at 10am (softball, Lady Viking Softball Field), and 1pm (baseball, Dub Hayes Field) on Saturday, November 13th.
- Tailgating will follow the alumni games in Viking Alley starting at 3pm. An Alumni Reception will be held in the GC Distillery at 4pm.
- The Grayson Men’s and Women’s Basketball homecoming games will begin at 5pm, with the women’s team tipping off first against Premier Prep, followed by the men’s team playing Murray State at 7pm.
- The Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime of the Women’s Basketball Game. The King and Queen will be announced during halftime of the Men’s Basketball games.
