Description
If you currently hold a lapsed Class A License, we have just the solution for you. Our abbreviated hands-on course is specially designed to prepare you for the federally mandated Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) examination, allowing you to regain your valuable certification.
Throughout this course, you'll dive into all the state and federal laws pertaining to the commercial driver’s license. You'll gain a deep understanding of various vehicle components and learn how they apply to the safe operation of a commercial vehicle. Our curriculum also covers the intricacies of the air brake system and includes guidance on performing an in-cab air brake test.
Limited enrollment opportunities are available for CVOP 2000b, a comprehensive 50-hour course. To be eligible for this program, you must meet specific requirements, including providing verifiable experience of your prior license and work in the commercial driving field. Additionally, you should hold a current Texas Class A Driver’s License (or Class A Permit with previous driving experience) and submit it at the time of registration. The Texas Department of Transportation physical exam for CDL is a prerequisite, and it's important to note that this cost is not included in the course fee. You should also be at least 18 years old as of the program's start date and have the ability to speak and read English. Both the permit exam and the driving test must be conducted in English.
Don't miss this opportunity to revitalize your career in commercial driving. Enroll today and get back on the road to success.
All courses operate Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm in our West Campus Commercial Truck Driving Lot. Unless otherwise stated on the individual listing, this schedule applies.
