Youth Summer Programs

This week-long residential camp in college housing is open to students in incoming 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grades and features a tech-centric coding adventure.

Camp Details

Each camp is week-long: 5 days and 5 nights with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Check-in to housing will be the Sunday before each camp between 6:00pm- 8:00pm and check-out will be the Friday following the conclusion of the class. (4:30- 5:30 pm). All students must be picked up no later than 5:30 PM on Friday.

• Application must be in the student’s name to be eligible for consideration. Space is limited, apply today!
• Application Deadline is Noon on May 8^th and campers will be notified by May 23^rd.
• Upon notification of award of Camp Scholarship, the parent/guardian will be sent a detailed enrollment packet which must be returned in 7 days to secure your camper’s spot.

It’s Back! Embark on an exhilarating journey through the world of STEM at Robo Tex's Summer Youth Camp! Delve into hands-on robotics and mechanical engineering projects that tackle real-world challenges. Students with an interest in STEM should sign up for this camp which utilizes VEX-IQ robots.  Join us to hone your practical skills and unleash your creativity. Robo Tex camp is your gateway to realizing your dreams. 

With two levels—Basic and Intermediate—this competition-style camp promises an electrifying experience filled with innovation, teamwork, and endless possibilities. Join us and take the first step towards a future brimming with excitement and success!

Join us for full-day Robo Tex camps, running Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM!

Camp Highlights

• The four camps will conclude with a 1-day exhibition event in which selective teams from each of the camps will battle each other head-to-head. 
• Application Deadline is Noon on May 8^th and campers will be notified by May 23^rd.
• Upon notification of award of Camp Scholarship, the parent/guardian will be sent a detailed enrollment packet which must be returned in 7 days in order to secure your camper’s spot.
• This camp is pending the Award from the Bosch Community Fund.

With the BEACONS grant, we've bolstered our resources, hiring top-tier electrical energy faculty and investing in cutting-edge training equipment. This means our Youth Camp participants will dive into hands-on experiences that tackle the pressing demands of alternative energy sources and energy storage solutions, a growing area in our region.

At our camp, students won't just observe – they'll engage. Through engaging activities, participants will have the opportunity to code robotics to execute fundamental concepts, providing a dynamic introduction to the diverse fields of engineering. From mastering the art of soldering circuits to unraveling the intricacies of machinery and its pivotal role in manufacturing processes, campers will develop practical skills and gain invaluable insights into the world of technology and engineering.

Safety is paramount in our environment, especially as students interact with large manufacturing equipment. We kindly request that participants come prepared with close-toed shoes and secure ponytails to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all. Join us as we spark curiosity, ignite passion, and empower the workforce of tomorrow at Grayson College's Youth Camp.

Jolts and Volts camp offers half-day classes from Monday to Thursday, running from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. These sessions are exclusively available at our South Campus in Van Alstyne, Texas. Join us for an electrifying experience packed with fun and learning!
