Viking Research Day
On behalf of the Grayson Honors College, we would like to cordially invite all Grayson College students (including dual credit students) and high school seniors to submit proposals to present at our inaugural Viking Research Day, to be hosted on the Grayson College main campus on Thursday April 10th.
Students are invited to present projects that they have completed within the last academic year. Projects are not limited to research papers, and can include creative and technical works.
Students may submit a proposal in one of the following areas:
Oral Presentations
Oral presentation nominations must be approved/sponsored by an instructor, teacher, or school administrator
- Oral presentation abstract submissions must meet the following requirements:
- Clearly identify the purpose and scope of the presentation
- Be no more than 250 words
- If selected, presenters must also:
- Be prepared to present for 8-10 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions
- Submit their visual and audio aids prior to Friday March 21st
- If specific technology access is needed, request it no later than Friday March 21sty
- Please use the oral presentation abstract submission form to submit a proposal
- Abstract proposals are due February 28th
Poster Submissions
Poster nominations must be approved/sponsored by an instructor, teacher, ir school administrator
- Poster submissions must meet the following requirements:
- Clearly identify the project/purpose of the poster
- Include a project description of no more than 250 words
- If selected, presenters will:
- Develop a tri-fold poster (no bigger than 36X48) with project information
- Be prepared to give a short explanation of their word, and field questions from respondents
- Please use the poster submission form to submit a project description
- Poster proposals are due February 28th
All submitters will be notified by March 7th of project acceptance.
