Grayson College Performing Arts Camp
The Grayson Performing Arts Camp (GPAC) is for high school performers and technicians. It is two weeks of intense theatrical training that puts you side by side with Texas’ best teachers, directors, and designers. Each camp offers performance classes and technical classes to meet the varied interests of those in the theatre industry. Students in the performance classes will spend time acting, perfecting auditioning, learning movement, and in voice and diction practices. Those interested in the technical side of theatre will learn stage management, scenic design and construction, intelligent lighting, and sound design.
The 2017 camp dates will Jun. 4-16. Cost for this camp is $825 which covers housing, meals, and education costs for two weeks.
Last year, fifty students from across the state were involved in a two-week camp where they learned from award-winning high school and college theatre faculty members. Students ultimately directed, produced, and executed three plays during their time at Grayson College. The camp was yet again a success due to the efforts of our phenomenal team in the Theatre Department and their colleagues from across the state who join them to make this transformative experience available for the campers.
