New Dean of South Campus

Grayson College welcomed Brad Bankhead as Dean of South Campus on June 4. Bankhead comes to the college with over 16 years’ experience at the Dean level and above.

“Grayson College is excited to have Brad Bankhead on the South Campus,” college President Dr. Jeremy McMillen said. “Brad’s depth of experience and knowledge is beneficial in the rapidly changing landscape of Grayson County.”

Bankhead spent seven years as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Colorado Mountain College District before serving in two Interim Vice Chancellor positions at St. Louis Community College and Baton Rouge Community College.

“I am re-energized daily by being part of a college so authentically and wholly focused on student success,” Bankhead said. “I feel truly blessed to belong to such a vibrant and forward-thinking community of learners.”

Bankhead explained his prior administrative experience has impacted his approach to education.

“This breadth of perspective has made me more holistic in my approach to the enterprise of teaching and learning, and more effective, balanced and adaptive as a leader,” Bankhead said. “Moreover, I have learned that it is the quality of our relationships that make us successful, not our titles or reporting lines.”

Bankhead is taking over for Dr. Kim Williams who assumed the role of Dean of Workforce Education on May 14. With 20 years of service to Grayson College, Dr. Williams is excited about her new role at the Denison campus.

“I’m excited about the prospects of leading and investing in the campus team, engaging my passion for community collaboration, and utilizing my expertise in enrollment management and planning for the future,” Bankhead said.
