Chefs Weatherly and Greenslade Honored by Texas Chef's Association

Congratulations are in order for Chef Rusty Weatherly and Chef Annie Greenslade of the Grayson Culinary Arts!

Chef Rusty Weatherly has been honored as the  Culinary Educator of the Year and Chef Annie Greenslade as the Pastry Chef of the Year by the Texas Chef’s Association.

They both won the State of Texas awards for those categories, and are getting ready to compete for the national title of these awards at the American Culinary Federation’s National Convention in August in Orlando.

 In order to prepare, they are working towards chef certification that entails a very challenging written exam and a grueling practical cooking exam.  At the competition, both chef’s will be cooking on the mainstage in front of a large crowd of people while simultaneously being judged by experts.
