Meet Kristi Wade, the Director of the Promise Program
Kristi Wade comes to Grayson College to lead the Texoma and Grayson Promise Programs with a long career in the hi- tech industry. She graduated from Murray State College with an AAS in Computer Science and East Central University with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. This was the first time the degree was introduced at ECU and has since evolved into bigger curriculum offerings.
Krist spent her career involved with establishing and growing internet technology, working with global companies in design and implementation of bleeding edge networks and leading technical teams in resolving global network outages.
But even during those years in corporate America, she always volunteered at the local school districts. Most notably, Kristi was nominated by the Northwest ISD Board of Trustees to lead the team in creating the NISD's four-year Strategic Plan for 2015-2018. She also assisted in developing the new IT curriculum for Wade College (no relation) in Dallas's fashion and design district.
Kristi now lives in Oklahoma on Lake Texoma. She and her husband, David, have 2 grown children, 3 grandchildren and four very large, very sweet rescue dogs. She loves family more than anything and is now living her dream of inspiring kids to get excited about higher education, attend college, and motivate them to find their own successes in life.
