Dr. Molly Harris named Vice President of Community Engagement
Dr. Molly Harris has been named Vice President of Community Engagement at Grayson College. Dr. Harris has been a vital part of Grayson College since 2015 and most recently has served as the Dean of Student Affairs since 2020.
She holds a Doctoral degree in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, a Bachelor of Science degree in Theater from Texas A&M University Commerce and an Associate of Science in Drama from Weatherford College.
A career educator, Dr. Harris has 21 years of experience in higher education. She was a professor of speech at Weatherford College for seven years before moving to Grayson College in the role of Assistant to the President. During her time as Assistant to the President, Dr. Harris assumed the added responsibility of marketing director and helped strengthen the College’s brand and its ties to Grayson County.
Dr. Harris has served on many community boards and councils in both higher education and in the community. These roles include the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, United Way of Grayson County Board, Denison Rotary, the Denison Development Foundation and the Association of Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisors.
“Dr. Harris has a strong network of internal and external relationships which is vital to this role. She understands the College’s culture and priorities,” says Dr. Jeremy McMillen, President of Grayson College. “I look forward to seeing the great things she and this new division will accomplish.”
As Vice President of Community Engagement, Dr. Harris will oversee various crucial areas, including Foundation, marketing, grants, SBCD, strategic communications and the South Campus.
