Davina Ransom named Director of Adult Education and Literacy Program
Davina Ransom has been named Director of Adult Education at Grayson College. Ransom has been at Grayson College for seven years, most recently serving as the Assistant Director for the Adult Education program since 2019.
Ransom holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Texas Women’s University. Ransom is also a Grayson College alumna, having earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies.
“Davina brings a passion for helping students,” Vice President of Instruction, Dr. Dava Washburn said. “Her time in Adult Education and her previous roles provide a solid foundation for connecting with the community. I look forward to seeing what she’ll do to further connect the program to our community.”
Ransom has served Grayson College since 2017 when she worked as the Intake Specialist for the Adult Education Program for two years. Prior to joining Grayson College, Ransom was employed at the Grayson County Crisis Center, serving as a Lead Advocate for three years. She also worked previously at Young Williams Child Support Services and at the Denton County Friends of the Family Shelter.
Ransom lives in Denison with her husband David and daughter, Raylei, who they adopted out of foster care when she was fourteen.
