Grayson College swears in three board members

At Grayson College’s board meeting held November 18, Ronnie Cole, Dr. Debbie Barnes-Plyler and Paula Cavender were sworn in as board members.
Ronnie Cole, a Denison resident, and Dr. Debbie Barnes-Plyler, a Pottsboro resident, were both elected previously in 2012 and 2018 and are returning to serve six year terms.
Paula Cavender, a Howe resident, was appointed to fill a vacant Board position in August 2022 and has been elected to serve a six year term.
Dr. Debbie Barnes-Plyler was recognized with an award recognizing her service as Board Chair from 2022-2024.
In additional action during the meeting, Van Alstyne resident, Dr. John Spies, was selected to serve as Board Chair, Terrence Steele, a Sherman resident, as Board Vice Chair and Paula Cavender as Secretary. Each will serve a two-year term in the position.
